Hair Loss in Men
Male pattern baldness is a genetically inherited condition that results in different hair follicle patterns that are sensitive to the male hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
The effects typically begin at puberty when testosterone and DHT begin to circulate in boys. This causes your hair follicles to shrink and gradually stop regrowth over time.
Most patients do not notice the change until their late 20s or 30s, because the scalp does not appear thin or bald until 50% of the scalp has been shed.
Hair loss in men is often considered a fate that you cannot change. Your hair will fall out until there is nothing left. This is far from the truth. More than 80% of men will notice thinning at age 50, which can affect both your self-esteem and sense of self-worth. You don’t have to feel bad about your hair starting to disappear because there are ways to control it.
We offer many different solutions to your hair loss, both surgical and non-surgical. Our professional team and doctor will create a custom plan for you and work with you to achieve the results you want. Everyone is welcome to our office.
